Dynamax Urshifu - Rapid Strike is a very strong option for Max Raids. Water and Fighting allows it to pummel 7 different types for Super Effective damage. This combo also has outstanding neutral coverage, hitting literally every single type in the game for neutral damage. There are plenty of dual-types that resist the combo, but the raw neutral coverage is outstanding, especially as an early-game investment thanks to its versatility and high raw power.
Dynamax Roles
Solid damage output and great role-compression makes Urshifu - Rapid Strike a pretty attractive choice when evolving your Kubfu. It won't stay top-tier, but for now it's great!
This thing doesn't have THE WORST defensive stats, and can leverage its fairly high number of resistances for situational tanking, but it's not great and lacks a 0.5 second Fast Move for quick energy generation.
Urshifu has decent HP, so it's not the worst Max Spirit user. However, it's generally better off going for damage instead.
Max Move damage is paramount, with Max Spirit if you really want to go all-in. Max Guard is more limited in utility here.
- Waterfall is the way to go for Max Geyser.
- Counter for Max Knuckle.
- Honestly, either is fine for defensive play... but maybe don't use Urshifu to tank unless its resistances give it a strong niche.
