Zapdos Raid Guide
Zapdos was arguably the second best of the three legendary birds of Kanto when it released way back in the day, sporting high power for that day and age and useful Electric damage capabilities. And it's... held up a bit in more recent times? It's definitely not great, but it can do a bit of work as a filler if you're desperate. That aside, it's okay-ish in the Master League, it's nice for Team Instinct players to have Zapdos on their accounts, and it's also nice to have it as a dex filler in general.
Supreme Counters

The ultimate Ice Type, White Kyurem resists the majority of Zapdos' moves, and hits back insanely hard. Honestly, that's about all that needs to be said; this thing is a monster, and probably the Pokemon that keeps Zapdos awake at night.
Shadow Rhyperior hits hard and double-resists Electric moves. But beyond that, it also resists Drill Peck and Ancient Power, making it an outstanding universal pick here.
The Black version of Kyurem focuses more on Dragons than its White counterpart, but it's still very much capable of dealing with the likes of Zapdos.
Mega Tyranitar is generally the Mega Evolution of choice here, with a very high average performance thanks to its great mix of DPS and TDO.
Mega Diancie is the way to go if you want a Mega Evolution with high DPS, but its lower TDO means it's generally a little below Mega Tyranitar in average performance.
Shadow Mamoswine loves stomping the electric chicken with its double-resistance to Electric Type moves.
Shadow Tyrantrum is a high average performer, boasting high DPS alongside high TDO thanks in part to its Dragon typing granting it a resistance to Electric
You want DPS? Shadow Ramparados has DPS. It's not going to last for very long, but it will definitely knock Zapdos for a loop while it's on the field!
Who needs Super Effective damage when you have raw power?!
Eternatus lacks in the DPS department, just skirting into duo-worthy territory, but its huge TDO backed by an Electric resistance allows it to stay on the field for a long time. This is a good option for saving some potions, but not the best option if you're attempting a duo with someone who doesn't have a high DPS team.
This frigid dragon is definitely worthy of a spot. Its DPS is high, and its TDO is also great thanks to its resistance to ice Type moves, though it doesn't appreciate facing down Ancient Power.
Shadow Regigigas comes with an asterisk. This thing is very strong, but its performance heavily revolves around its Hidden Power type. If your Shadow Regigigas has Hidden Power Ice or Rock, then Shadow Regigigas is definitely something that you should add to your team here. If it's a neutral Hidden Power type like Psychic or Water, then it's a good filler. If it's a resisted Hidden Power type like Grass or Ground, then it's best to leave it on the bench.
