Shadow Landorus gets a huge boost over its basic forme, but that's not the real competition that it has to deal with, is it?

Honestly, Shadow Landorus - Incarnate Forme is perfectly fine. In practice, it tends to be a side-grade to its Therian forme, and is a perfectly reasonable choice for building a Ground Type raid team, though it is more expensive to raise due to the Shadow boost.

  • Mud Shot is the superior fast move, and gets STAB.
  • Rock Throw falls behind in performance, and is more suited for a Rock-type role.
  • Earth Power fulfills Shadow Landorus' role as a Ground-type attacker.
  • Rock Slide can pair with Rock Throw, but other dedicated Rock-types do this job better.
  • Outrage performs well in PvE, but Shadow Landorus isn't a Dragon.
  • Focus Blast has no use.

Mud Shot provides incredible energy generation, though it doesn't offer much damage output despite getting STAB.

Rock Slide costs the least amount of energy, provides wide coverage, and is quite efficient stat-wise. Earth Power benefits from STAB and also offers wide relevant coverage against common typings. Outrage requires quite a bit of energy to use, but in certain PvP formats can be useful for surprising Dragon-types or throwing out neutral damage.

Landorus currently is not eligible in Great League due to its high CP. This might change in the future if it would be released in Research Breakthroughs, or through some other methods of obtaining it at a lower level.
