Kyurem Raid Guide
Kyurem is the key to unlock Black Kyurem and White Kyurem, immediatly making it one of the most important Pokemon you can raid. While it doesn't provide any fusion energy upon being defeated, it's still important to try and get as many good IV Kyurem you can.
This thing is not hard to take down. Kyurem is unfortunately weak to some of the strongest types in the game, along with some hard hitter like Mega Lucario. Steel types resist both Dragon and Ice type moves from Kyurem, making some of the Supreme counters overstay their welcome. It's an easy raid that will pay off dividends.
Supreme Counters
Having a weakness to Steel types has become a death sentence over the years for most raid bosses, and Kyurem makes that fact very apparant. Even though its not double weak to Steel, under the right circumstances, at level 50 with Weatherboost, Zacian, Zamazenta and Dusk Mane Necrozma sport enough DPS to solo Kyurem. That being said, snowy weather is rare. Still, it's an easy raid if you have access to some of these Pokemon, just bring along a friend.
Zacian - Crowned Sword is an insanely powerful Pokemon, and will always be sitting at the top when something is weak to Steel. It resist EVERY move Kyurem can throw at it, allowing it to deal fantastic damage for a good amount of time. With Party Play, you can boost Zacian's damage output to even more ridiculous heights.
What's better than bringing one dog to a raid? Bringing two dogs to a raid! Zamazenta lacks a triple resistance against Dragon type moves, but is every single bit as good as Zacian outside of Party Play. If you have either of these dogs, you'll go a long way.
The terrific trio of Steel types (Zacian, Zamazenta and Dusk Mane) is now complete. Dusk Mane has fantastic performance against Kyurem thanks to great stats and an excellent moveset. It's hard to go wrong with this one.
It's no surprise that the king of Fighting types shows up here. Its Steel typing does two things for it in this raid. It allows it to take resisted damage from any move Kyurem has, while also giving a Mega Boost to any Steel type moves your lobby has. Just make sure you're using it's Fighting typ moveset (Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash has lower performance).
It's performance is similar to Mega Lucario on the offensive sides. It lacks the useful Steel typing that Mega Lucario has, but is otherwise a great option.
For those who have an Eternatus powered up, you can easily bring it to face of Kyurem. With an absurd move like Dynamax Cannon there's hardly a reason to NOT bring it.
If you're planning on fighting fire with fire, or rather Dragon with Dragon, then Rayquaza is a very solid option. However, it's going to suffer super effective damage from anything Kyurem can throw at it (Except for Steel Wing).
If you want to have a Mega Boost for as long as possible then Mega Metagross is your guy. With its fantastic bulk it can stay on the field for a LONG time, even without dodging. However, if you want a Mega Evolution that focusses more on DPS, you might want to look somewhere else.
Solid DPS paired with great bulk makes for an excellent counter.
