Analysis
Sandaconda is one of those Pokemon; the kind that many people know exists, but tend to forget it entirely. Sadly, forgotten is what Sandaconda deserved in the PvE meta; this thing is the single most vanilla Ground Type that's out there; a solid but unimpressive moveset, no sub-typing, and a fairly low Attack stat. This is a dex filler, and that's about it.
Offense
- Mud Slap and Mud Shot are both good, but the former tends to pull ahead.
- Earth Power beats out Dig and Bulldoze, while Wrap is just bad in PvE.
Defense
- Mud Slap is objectively better than Mud Shot on defense.
- Wrap is the way to go by way of charged moves, coming out frequently and having solid neutral coverage alongside Ground.
- Earth Power is the best runner up move, outclassing Dig and Bulldozer. However, going with a mono-Ground moveset leaves Sandaconda VERY easily walled by anything that resists it, especially Flying Types.
