Hisuian Lilligant unfortunately lacks a discernible niche, as it is vastly outclassed in both the Grass and Fighting attacker departments. Its stats are also quite underwhelming, so it doesn't have the greatest future either.
Offense
- Magical Leaf is a better move than Bullet Seed
- Solar Beam is better than Petal Blizzard but not by much.
- Hisuian Lilligant's Fighting Charged Attack options are underwhelming and don't synergize with its Fast Attacks.
Defense
- Magical Leaf deals more damage than Bullet Seed
- Upper Hand is a 3-bar move and gets used more often than Lilligant's other Charged Attacks.
Magical Leaf offers a more rounded option than Bullet Seed, though the latter can be used to reach Lilligant's expensive Grass-type attacks more reliably.
Upper Hand is both Hisuian Lilligant's best and cheapest Charged Attack. Petal Blizzard is its cheapest Grass-type Charged Attacks. Close Combat is a good move and can be used as an alternative option to Petal Blizzard if more Fighting-type burst is desired, but running mono-Fighting leaves Hisuian Lilligant's energy easily walled. Solar Beam is far too expensive for something with Hisuian Lilligant's frailty.
, but it does possess a rare type combination, and it can break cores at times. However, Chesnaught is generally a better Pokemon for this role, and Chesnaught is already a niche pick in open Great League, so don't expect Hisuian Lilligant to do much more.
