White Kyurem Raid Guide
White Kyurem is among the strongest Pokemon in the game, making any chance to raid for it extremely important. This thing has a lot of power, but also a lot of very important weaknesses. Steel, Fighting, and Dragon in particular are extremely powerful types, meaning this powerful dragon has some exceptional counters that can cut it down with ease.
Supreme Counters
The Supreme counters on this list are capable of easily scoring duo-worthy numbers in terms of DPS and TDO alike with only one or two note-worthy exceptions that get a special pass.
One of the best types in the game combine with a tremendous amount of raw power to create one of the best counters to this raid. It has a tremendous list of resistances that include all of White Kyurem's Fast Moves and most of its Charged Moves, even triple-resisting its Dragon Type moves. The only move that it actually has to watch out for is Fusion Flare, and that won't show up extremely frequently.
Zamazenta's typing is a bit worse than Zacian's for this raid, but it makes up for that fact with its huge defensive presence. And don't let that "inferior" typing fool you, it still resists almost everything that Zacian does, but it lacks the triple-resistance to Dragon and is also weak to Focus Blast. Still, Zamazenta has a tremendous presence here that cannot be understated.
The overwhelmingly powerful (and expensive!) dragon itself, Eternatus powers through a somewhat less than ideal typing for this raid to provide downright devastating damage output. Just consider doing some dodging.
Mega Lucario is a powerful option thanks to its high performance and its ability to boost Steel and Fighting Types alike. Its DPS is a bit lower than Mega Rayquaza, but its TDO is higher in most situations.
Mega Rayquaza is a risky pick here, but not as risky as it may seem at first glance. Despite the fact that White Kyurem is one of the absolute strongest Ice Type attackers, preying hard on Mega Rayquaza when the latter is the raid boss, in this case there's only a 1/3 chance that Kyurem will have an Ice Type Fast Move, and a 1/5 chance at an Ice Type Charged Move. That said, it also has to worry a bit about Dragon Breath, Dragon Pulse, and Ancient Power to varying degrees.
Still, at the end of the day this is Mega Rayquaza, so the raw DPS is worthwhile. Just be ready to do some dodging.
Mega Blaziken is another very strong Mega option for this raid, boasting high DPS and TDO alike thanks to its overall great typing in this raid. Its Mega boost is less viable than the other big-names on this list due to the fact that Steel and Dragon tend to out-class Fighting by a bit, but it's still genuinely great.
While Dusk Mane Necrozma generally rivals Zamazenta and Zacian when Steel is Super Effective, it's a bit lower here due to its secondary typing offering it no genuine advantages this time outside of allowing it to take neutral damage from Close Combat. It's still genuinely great, but it's a bit weaker comparatively.
The little water pony is here to show up the competition... to varying degrees. It's still genuinely strong, but it does fall off a bit compared to the above.
Shadow Metagross may not be the apex of Steel Type damage nowadays, but it's still a great option for punching Kyurem's lights out.
Dialga - Origin Forme's Steel sub-typing pulls a lot of weight here, giving it an above-average TDO that's backed up by strong DPS.
Good Counters
The Good counters to White Kyurem can generally still hit duo-worthy numbers, and can easily fill in holes in any team.
