Mega Altaria is an odd Pokemon. It's currently the only Dragon Type Pokemon in the entire game that resists Dragon Type attacks. It's undeniably weak when compared to many other Dragon Type Mega Evolutions, but it can spread around its Dragon/Fairy boosts for a very long time in comparison to the competition. In general it's NOT worth raising a Mega Altaria, but it can put in work if you decide to do so regardless.

  • Dragon Breath is the top choice for a Fast Move. 
  • Peck is outright inferior.
  • Dazzling Gleam provides the top Charged Move damage in Dragon Type raids, with Dragon Pulse coming in second.
  • Moonblast is the inferior choice.
  • Sky Attack is a great attack, but not a great choice for Mega Altaria.
  • Flamethrower is sub-par for Mega Altaria.
