Mewtwo Raid Guide
After what feels like an eternity, Mewtwo is back in raids (if you're lucky enough to be at an in-person GO Fest location that is). And now, more than ever, it's important that you try to get a good one. As THE Pokemon from yesteryear, Mewtwo has gotten outclassed in the recent past, even by its own Shadow Forme.
However, that was then and this is now, Mewtwo will finaly have access to its long awaited Mega Y and X formes. While nothing has really changed for base Mewtwo, these two Mega formes cannot be ignored. While there is a clear winner between both formes, both are still very powerful, so try to score a few good IV Mewtwo while you can.
For taking down Mewtwo, if you have strong Dark and Ghost type Pokemon built you will be fine. However, its moveset is a Pandoras Box situation, where it can throw a wide variaty of moves at you, like Focus Blast, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower,... The list goes on. This means that a trainer, who doesn't rely on either just Dark or Ghost type Pokemon, is truly prepared to take on anything Mewtwo wants to throw at it.
Supreme Counters
As mentioned in the Overviews section, be prepared to build both a Dark and Ghost type team in order to deal with any moveset that Mewtwo might throw at you. And also, don't rely on Foggy weather, that's quite unrealistic for most players.
Good Counters
If you're lacking Supreme Counters you can fill out your team with some of these Good Counters. Though this means you'll probably need a third or fourth trainer to help push you over the finish line.
