Mega Banette is an almost strictly worse version of Mega Gengar, even without the Poison-typing that burdens Gengar with inconvenient weaknesses. Its sole meaningful advantage is that its Mega Evolution costs half as much as Gengar's, allowing it to act as a backup option or a budget free-Mega if used enough. Nonetheless, Mega Banette does possess an excellent Atk stat and a strong moveset in Shadow Claw + Shadow Ball. It's usable, but not exactly a recommended investment.
