Mega Banette Raid Guide
Oh Mega Banette, while you're a good Ghost Type mega, unfortunately, you're not the best one around. Mega Gengar does sport a weakness to Psychic, but that is unfortunately not enough to make Mega Banette the recommended Ghost Type Mega evolution.
As for taking down Mega Banette, you're in for a rather easy time. It has a low defense stat and some very strong counters that make a solo possible.
Supreme Counters
Poor Banette, it has to face off against some of the strongest Pokemon in the game. You won't have a hard time taking it down and there's a good variety here.
Mega Tyranitar is an absolute behemoth when it comes to tanking moves from Banette. It has outstanding TDO with good DPS to go alongside it, however, try and dodge Dazzling Gleam if Banette is rocking it.
If you don't have a mega Tyranitar then Gengar is a solid option. This mega is more DPS heavy, and while it resist the Dazzling Gleam that mega Tyranitar doesn't want to see, it's ver y weak to any Shadow Balls coming its way. Lick is the preferred move on Mega Gengar, but the difference between Lick and Shadow Claw is so minor you're fine with either.
Shadow Tyranitar has a great moveset, an amazing attack stat and a shadow boost to boot! Just dodge Dazzling Gleam and you'll be fine.
Dawn Wings Necrozma would be on top of this list if it wasn't so damn allergic to Ghost type moves. Also, due to surperior energy generation, Psycho Cut is preferred over Shadow Claw, but both are viable as a fast move against Banette.
This is just a tad weaker than Shadow Tyranitar with an even bigger weakness to Dazzling Gleam.
Shadow Ball outperforms Dark Pulse despite the lack of STAB. Shadow Darkrai is a bit more on the glassier side, but still great overall. Make sure you dodge when you can!
While it has fantastic DPS, Mega Absol is a bit more on the frail side and therefor not the ideal Mega evolution to bring to this raid. However, it is still a fantastic option if you're looking to deal damage fast.
Are you really surprised to see Mega Rayquaza here? It's raw power alone is enough to give it a spot as a supreme counter.
While it is frail, Shadow Chandelure is always useful when something is weak to Ghost. It has an accessible moveset that has great DPS. It's much like a slightly more vulnerable version of Mega Gengar, and that's a good thing to be.
Ah Tyranitar, the vanilla flavour of all Dark types, the ultimate classic golden boy. It's good, just not as good as the other flavours Tyranitar comes in.

These good counters can carry themselves quite well.
