Mega Glalie Raid Guide
Mega Glalie is in a bit of a sad position right now. It's still the current best Ice Type Mega Evolution in the game, but that position is less meaningful than it once was thanks to just how badly outclassed it is by our current Ice Type titans like White Kyurem. It's not bad by any stretch of the imagination, as it's still a solid Ice Type damage dealer that can raise the power of White or Black Kyurem used by your team mates at the same time to thermonuclear winter levels. However, its time in even this position is limited, as Mega Froslass and, more importantly, Mega Baxcalibur are looming in the future. Still, they're both at least a year or two off right now most likely, so Mega Glalie can definitely put in some work.
So how difficult is this raid? Not really that difficult. Mega Glalie has a lot of Ice Type moves and Gyro Ball, so most Steel or Fire Types wall it pretty easily while hitting like a truck. It does have Rollout to raise a threat on the Fire front, but then Fighting Types or Rock Types can pretty much crush it fearlessly.... yeah, having mono-Ice typing doesn't do Mega Glalie many favors by way of trying to survive.
Supreme Counters
All of the Supreme counters on this list can easily run a Duo vs. Mega Glalie, so a bit more of a TDO-focus is appreciated here to make the duo run a bit smoother.
Mega Lucario sports the highest DPS in this raid, and its multitude of resistances also makes it a pretty effortless option as well. This thing can do this raid without even breaking a sweat while boosting both Fighting and Steel Types while on the field... but it's worth noting that Mega Lucario Z will eventually be solo-worthy for this raid, whenever it drops in the distant future. That has no baring on what's going on right now, but it still interesting.
Zamazenta... does not care. This thing is going to last for an absurdly long time, and bash Glalie over the head with its gigantic shield the entire time. Seriously; nothing that Mega Glalie can do really poses any sort of a threat to Zamazenta. Even Shadow Ball, the only move that Glalie has that Zamazenta doesn't outright resist, doesn't really do much damage.
On the whole, Zamazenta's Crowned Shield forme is definitely one of the best overall picks for this raid.
While Zacian doesn't quite have the raw bulk of Zamazenta, its tremendous DPS and still amazing TDO keeps it very, very viable as one of the top counters here. However, its raw DPS doesn't really allow it to TRULY compete, as it and Zamazenta generally both hit the same player-number benchmarks in this raid.
It's easy to think that Dusk Mane Necrozma's time in the spotlight is over with the weapon-wolves above, but this shining lion is still very, very viable. It doesn't like taking Shadow Ball, but it still packs a massive punch.
Mega Blaziken can't quite keep up with Mega Lucario, but it has the advantage of boosting Fire Types and Fighting Types while on the field. Worth noting: Aura Sphere is objectively better than Blast Burn, but the latter is still fine, and shouldn't be TMed away.
Keldeo's Resolute forme comes in hard and heavy with Secret Sword, making it a great option for this raid.
One of the old-school kings of the Steel meta, Shadow Metagross pulls a lot of weight in this raid.
Oh boy, this is a fun one. Decent bulk boosted by a double-resistance to Ice Type moves means that Shadow Heatran is very much going to be one of the best options for this raid.
All of the same points made about Shadow Heatran apply here too, just with a bit less DPS.
While nowhere near as strong or useful as Mega Lucario here, Mega Metagross is still a great backup option for a Mega Evolution.
Good Counters
Despite the fact that the above counters have the best performance here, the Good counters listed here are still duo-worthy to varying degrees of viability.
