Reshiram Raid Guide

Reshiram Raid Guide

Reshiram is a Pokemon that carries a lot of weight in Pokemon Go. To start with, this thing is a legitimately great Fire Type attacker in raids, and also a top-tier Pokemon in the Master League. But more than that, it's also 50% of the monster that is White Kyurem, making it far more valuable than simply its own raw performance.

As a raid boss, Reshiram is a bit of a mixed bag of difficulty. Its primary weakness is Dragon, meaning its Fire Type moves are generally resisted while its Dragon Type moves are generally very threatening, and it also has a bit of counter-coverage that can threat specific counters. For this reason, it's best to be ready to do some dodging, and pay close attention to your recommended Pokemon list for clues as to what Reshiram may be packing.

As stated, the effectiveness of many of these Pokemon will depend on Reshiram's moveset. That said, in general you're still going to want to stick with the top Dragons regardless.

In-game Search string

The king of dragons is here to bring about the Darkest Day and extinguish the blinding white of Reshiram. This thing is a monster, sporting the top DPS for this raid and a HUGE amount of TDO, meaning its tremendous investment will definitely pay off.

While now out-classed by Eternatus, Mega Rayquaz a is still tremendously strong, sporting a huge DPS and solid TDO. It has to be weary of Stone Edge alongside the standard Dragon Types, but it can still put in heavy work!

Shadow Garchomp is the best Shadow dragon for this raid, sporting outstanding DPS and TDO alike.

Primal Groudon has no weakness to Dragon, and resistances to Stone Edge and Fire Type moves as well, making it a great choice. But, sadly, it also doesn't provide a useful boost for this raid, making it a bit of a lesser Mega Evolution this time around.

While not on a par with Mega Rayquaza, Mega Garchomp still boasts a huge mix of DPS and TDO that makes it an outstanding silver medal Mega Evolution. It competes with Primal Groudon for this title, but has the advantage of a useful Dragon Type boost and higher DPS, though Primal Groudon's substantially higher TDO keeps it competitive on that front.

Shadow Palkia double-resists Fire Type moves, meaning there are times when it will be supremely bulky. But, at other times, it will be as frail as any other dragon.

Higher average TDO keeps Palkia's Origin Forme competitive as a Supreme counter despite having a lower DPS than many others on this list. That said, it still clears duo-worthy DPS without much of an issue.

Shadow Ramparados enjoys giving itself concussions, so don't expect it to lack a long time, even if it does resist Fire.

One of the classic Shadow Dragons, Shadow Salamence puts in great work.

And this completes the list of the major Shadow Dragon pseudo-legends!
