Pheromosa Raid Guide
Say hello to one of the easiest tier-5 solo runs in the game! Pheromosa is an EASY choice for investing some raid passes, as anyone with a high-level good Pokemon capable of using Flying Type attacks can flatline it. Heck, Mega Rayquaza alone nearly has triple the DPS needed for a solo with enough TDO to take down around 1/3 of its HP on average!
Okay, so it's an easy solo... minus the fact that it can actually hit fairly hard when resistances aren't a factor... but how worthwhile is it to actually hunt for this thing? Well... it's not, honestly. Pheromosa has good damage potential, especially as a Bug type, but its TDO is non-existent. It's a fun bug to raise if you have an excess glut of resources, but in general it's not worth the investment.
Supreme Counters
Yup, everything on this list can solo Pheromosa. However, this time we're going to go at this a bit differently; we're going to focus primarily on TDO this time, because that's generally the easiest way to get this done. That said, we'll also throw in some top DPS options for those who just want to squash this bug as quickly as possible.
Want the top DPS option for this raid? Pick Mega Rayquaza. Want the highest average TDO option for this raid? Pick Mega Rayquaza. Seriously; this thing is just the undeniable best counter to Pheromosa, and should be the top priority.
This is the highest-DPS option among all of the non-Mega options available right now... and it feels so wrong to say! Seriously; I love Toucannon, but seeing Shadow Toucannon rise above normal Rayquaza in terms of DPS still feels flabbergasting! But here we are; banana beak is an outstanding option here, and it still has good TDO too.
Shadow Moltres has a bit less DPS than Shadow Toucannon, but oh boy it has a lot more TDO!
The old-fashioned Great Wall of Pokemon, Lugia sports outstanding bulk, outstanding resistances, and a strong moveset to absolutely steamroll this raid.
Note: Aeroblast+ is obviously better, but basic Aeroblast still gets the job done!
Same story as its Shadow forme, but with even more TDO on average. And same story as Aeroblast++ as well.
Another absolute wall with great resistances, Shadow Ho-oh is best with Hidden Power Flying, but Incinerate is fine too.
Rayquaza doesn't need to Mega Evolve to blow this bug away!
Enamorus has a great typing, and one of the best Flying Type Charged Moves to wield, so of course it works wonders here.
Yet another great Fire/Flying type to burn the bug!
Same story as Rayquaza, but a bit weaker.
