Local bird literally too angry to not be used in raids.

Do you see this bird? No, seriously: do you see this bird? This thing is a seething pile of ill-will and hatred, and it refuses to stay down. With the introduction of Beak Blast, Toucannon went from something of a nothing Pokemon to one of the most note-worthy Flying Type Pokemon outside of the true titans of the type that we've ever seen. This thing can hold its own and deal meaningful damage while beating out every other non-Shadow route-1 bird in the entire game! If you're interested in raising this overgrown woodpecker (Toucans actually aren't parrots, but they ARE closely related to woodpeckers, hence its evolutionary line), then where are definitely worse investments to be made!

  • Peck is the only Fast Move recommended for offense, gets STAB, and suits a Flying-type role.
  • Bullet Seed has no use.
  • Rock Smash has no use.
  • Beak Blast* is a great move, and Toucannon's only true means of success.
  • Drill Peck is an okay move, but it's substantially weaker than Beak Blast.
  • Consider Rock-type Pokemon instead of Rock Blast.
  • Consider Steel-type Pokemon instead of Flash Cannon

  • Rock Smash is recommended on defense due to its coverage against Ice and Rock attackers.
  • Peck gets STAB, making it best against neutral attackers and good against common Fighting-types.
  • Don't use Bullet Seed for defense.
  • Drill Peck is arguably the overall better Charge Move for defense due to how common Fighting-types are.
  • Rock Blast can be used frequently to specifically hurt Ice-type attackers, but is also likely to be resisted by others.
  • Beak Blast* is good too due to its high power, but it's a bit slower than Drill Peck.
  • Toucannon isn't very tanky, and might faint before it can use Flash Cannon
