Moltres Raid Guide
Moltres has the distinct honor of being the Legendary Bird of Kanto that arguably has the most general utility thanks to its ability to act as a Flying or Fire Type, and also the fact that it's the only member of the trio that's a genuinely viable solo.
Worth mentioning: Moltres gets Fly next season, so it's guaranteed to be better than it is now very soon.
Supreme Counters
Among the supreme counters, only the 3 highest members of this list are generally solo-worthy without boosts on the field. With Partly Cloudy weather, they all become largely viable.
Shadow Rampardos is the hardest hitting option for this raid, with a DPS that's comfortably above solo-worthy numbers. Optimal play will involve either making some well-timed dodges, or going all-in to get maximum DPS in order to make up for a few lower DPS options farther down the line.
Mega Diancie is the Mega Evolution to shoot for if you want to run a solo. No other Rock Type Mega Evoution can quite pull this off without boosts, and its TDO is great as well.
Shadow Rhyperior just barely slides into the 50 DPS, meaning it can solo, but you're going to want to back it up with Mega Diancie and/or a few Shadow Rampardos to make sure that the solo is actually doable. Also, it's probably best to not dodge much unless you're close to a Rock Wrecker, as you need as much DPS as possible.
Shadow Tyrantrum might be able to work for a solo as a filler if you have a few Shadow Ramparados ready to go, but that aside this is a stellar pick for a duo or a solo in partly cloudy weather thanks to its double resistance to Fire.
Another stellar opption for the duo, Gigalith hits hard and has all of the resistances of Rock at its disposal.
While it's not quite solo-worthy, basic Rampardos still hits like a truck and works like a dream in the duo.
If you're not aiming for the solo, then Mega Tyranitar is probably the best Mega to pick. This is due to the fact that Mega Tyranitar has near-solo DPS alongside absolutely absurd TDO. It's to the point where it may be the top Mega counter for the solo in partly cloudy weather.
Another outstanding option for this raid, Shadow Tyranitar hits like a truck.
Glimmora's just sitting here quietly, waiting for its Mega Evolution to overshadow Mega Diancie someday.... until Mega Diancie gets Diamond Storm.
Shadow Rhyperior is outstanding, while Rhyperior is pretty dang good!
Good Counters
All of our Good counters are very much duo-worthy, and work very well as fillers.
