Terrakion Raid Guide
Ah, the glorious rock-cow that is Terrakion. This thing hits like a truck and has a fair bit of value, so it's a worthwhile raid to aim for. Its attacks can potentially hit pretty danged hard, but there's one big thing to keep in mind with Terrakion: this thing has seven weaknesses, some of which are to top-tier types like Steel and Psychic. For this reason, Terrakion isn't much of a real challenge to anyone sporting a strong raid team.
Supreme Counters
As should be pretty obvious, Terrakion has some really bad weaknesses. While it's not really soloable outside of very, very specific scenarios, a duo with just about anything near the top of the Supreme list can easily take this thing down.
Mega Lucario is close to undisputed in terms of its status as the best overall counter to Terrakion, and is definitely undisputed as the top Mega counter. Combine great stats with an outstanding moveset and a typing that allows it to wall out a fair portion of Terrakion's moves, and it's pretty obvious that Mega Lucario should be a top pick for anyone for this raid.... even if it is weak to Fighting Type moves.
While Mega Blaziken can't keep up with Mega Lucario in this raid, it's still a note-worthy option that has high raw damage output and the advantage of no Fighting Type weakness for Terrakion to exploit, giving it situational optimal performance.
Dusk Mane Necrozma shines brightly here, crushing Terrakion with its deadly Steel Type moveset. Worth noting; while Terrakion almost always uses Metal Claw (and still VERY MUCH can here), utilizing Psycho Cut as a Fast Move is actually a bit more optimal in this case.
The Crowned Sword itself, Zacian is here to cut Terrakion down, and cut it down it shall. This is one of the best all-around counters here, as it really doesn't fear anything that Terrakion can throw at it save Earthquake, which is reasonable enough to dodge.
Zamazenta' Crowned Shield forme shares the same typing with Mega Lucario, meaning most of the above points stand true. However, while it has less DPS, its TDO is outstanding despite a Fighting weakness.
Shadow Mewtwo may not be the end-all-be-all that it used to be, but it still hits like an absolute truck and resists Fighting Type moves, so it's naturally going to stay in the Supreme counters.
Shadow Blaziken is definitely on the frail side, but it has high DPS to help get ahead of the clock.
Secret Sword is the key to Keldeo's success, allowing it to hit really hard and cut down Terrakion pretty quickly.
If a Water weakness shows up, Primal Kyogre is here to drown everything.
If a Ground weakness shows up, Primal Groudon is here to bury everything.
Good Counters
There are many, many Pokemon that can break the necessary 25 DPS to be duo-worthy in this raid, so just about anything on this list can slot in easily and still do the same basic job in the hands of the right raid team.
