Xurkitree Raid Guide

Xurkitree Raid Guide

Xurkitree is well known for its status as one of the best non-Shadow Electric Type attackers in the game, so naturally it's worth raiding for. And, fortunately, it's not extremely hard to raid for. While it does send out a lot of raw power with every attack, its Fast Moves are pretty pathetic when used on a Raid Boss, and a lot of its top counters can generally wall it relatively easily, depending on the moveset.

All of the counters on this section of the guide are duo-worthy with ease.

Primal Groudon is, as usual, the top Ground Type for this raid. This thing is still an absolute monster, and its Fire typing gives it a resistance to Dazzling Gleam and gets rid of its weakness to Power Whip. In short, this Pokemon is absolutely amazing.

While Shadow Groudon has less power than its Primal forme and lacks the advantages of a Fire sub-typing, but it's still the top non-Mega option for this raid.

Shadow Excadrill is essentially a little version of Primal Grouon; it sports the same resistance set and had high power, making it an all-around great pick here.

Shadow Garchomp's utility is based on Xurkitree's moveset; if it's running Discharge or Thunder, then Garchomp's triple-resistance makes it a stellar option. If it's running Power Whip, then Dragon's ability to neutralize its weakness to Power Whip. And, finally, it really doesn't like facing down Dazzling Gleam.

The silver medal Mega for this raid, Mega Garchomp is the same story as its Shadow forme; standing as the top TDO Mega when facing down Electric attacks. That said, it's still inferior to Primal Groudon in most cases, especially since its presence on your team doesn't auto-boost its fellow Ground Types.

Landorus has a lot of raw power, but a lessened strength to Electric Type attacks. On the other hand, it does take neutral damage from Power Whip.

Déjà vu.

A bit of a vanilla pick of a Ground Type, but still very effective in its own right.

A great Ground Type attacker... just so long as it's not facing Power Whip. That 2x weakness hurts!

Eternatus isn't throwing out Ground Type damage, but its tremendous raw power and great resistances make it very much worthwhile here.
