Tapu Fini Raid Guide
Tapu Fini is the bulkiest member of the Tapu quartet, and it has an outstanding defensive typing. Sporting the same weaknesses as a pure Water Type + a weakness to Poison (which may as well not exist for the most part), this can actually be a relatively difficult fight. Outside of going above Lv.40 and utilizing boosts, only a small handful of Pokemon are actually capable of running a duo here.
So how worthwhile is it to raid for Tapu Fini, exactly? Well... it's basically not. It's too weak to be a good raider, and its performance in PvP has steadily dropped over the years. So, for now, this is really just a dex filler.
Supreme Counters
The first few counters on this list are duo-worthy, and the rest are very trio-worthy.
Regieleki is one of only two Pokemon currently capable of running a reliable duo at Lv.40 without boosts. It's a vanilla Electric Type, but it's intensely powerful.
Mega Sceptile is the other Pokemon that's currently duo-worthy at Lv.40. It hits like a truck and double-resists Tapu Fini's Water Type moves, but it doesn't like Moonblast and HATES Ice Beam.
Shadow Electivire is a little bit frail, but it DEFINITELY gets the job done.
A natural pick for its raw electrical power, Shadow Raikou is pretty much always a top pick whenever Electric Type damage is needed.
CHRISTMAS TREE, OH CHRISTMAS TREE! HOW BEAUTIFUL THE 10,000,000 VOLTS YOU SEND THROUGH YOUR ENEMIES!
Yeah, Xurkitree is a power-house Electric Type, and is great for frying Tapu Fini.
Mega Beedrill has good damage output, but it's a bit weak on defense when not staring down Moonblast.
Kartana can cut through the majority of Tapu Fini's moves with ease thanks to its outstanding typing, and its damage output is great as well!
Eternatus is one of the only Poison Type Pokemon that allows the type to actually exist, and with good reason. While it doesn't care for Ice Beam, its typing and high raw bulk allows it to hit for damage that's well over trio-worthy, giving it outstanding average performance here.
A somewhat overlooked Pokemon, Shadow Magnezone has the advantages of high Electric Type damage and a Steel sub-typing, which makes it pretty bulky against some movesets.
Mega Manectric is the only Electric Type Mega Evolution in the game... for now. It has great performance, and is an optimal pick in rainy weather.
Good Counters
The Good Counters can't quite compete with the above in general, but they are all trio-worthy.
