Mega Victreebel, the bloated water balloon of poison, was one of the first Mega Evolutions released in Pokemon Go that originated in Pokemon Legends: ZA. And considering the fact that Victreebel used to be one of the best Grass Types in the game, surely this thing is good here, right?
Nope, not at all. The "glory" days of Victreebel were back when the game dropped, and even then it was... not SUPER great. This mirrors the current performance of Mega Victreebel, which is a really mediocre Grass Type Mega, and a solid Poison Type Mega... that generally isn't very useful.
Yeah, Mega Victreebel is pretty mediocre on the whole, and isn't really worth investing in.
Offense
- Magical Leaf pairs with Leaf Blade for Mega Victreebel's best mono-type moveset, and its best shot at dealing solid Grass Type damage.
- Acid and Sludge Bomb is the way to go for Poison damage.
- In targets that are weak to both Grass and Poison, Magical Leaf and Sludge Bomb is actually Mega Victreebel's strongest moveset, though the difference between it and the mono-Grass moveset isn't very substantial.
