Raikou Raid Guide

Raikou Raid Guide

While its glory days are long past it, Raikou can still make a good addition to your Electric type team if you're lacking some of the more heavy hitters.

As for taking it down, well Electric has only weakness that so happens to have some very heavy hitters that can easily take any Electric type attacks. Although a solo is not possible with even the most favourable conditions, a duo is guaranteed provided you and your partner use Supreme Counters (not include any weatherboost or Adventure Effects).

Yeah, it's all Ground types including every flavour of Groudon. These will allow you to duo Raikou easily.

Primal Groudon is absurdly powerful thanks to a ridiculous Attack stat and an incredibly strong charge move in Precipice Blades (try saying that move fast five times). If that wasn't enough, it can last for quite a while on the field thanks to amazing bulk complimented by a resistance to anything Electric that Raikou can throw at it.

Basically everything said for Primal Groudon is true for its shadow forme, just to a lesser degree.

Mega Garchomp is a monster, without a doubt. It has a great moveset, fantastic stats and a triple resistance to anything Electric, what more could you want? Well, unfortunately for it, it has to compete with Primal Groudon. However, if you don't have a Primal Groudon or you're out of Primal Energy, it is by a worthy substitute.

Much like its Mega forme, Shadow Garchomp has an incredible time against Electric types having a triple resistance. Combined with great DPS makes it a strong asset to take down Riakou.

While its the only Ground type to only single resist Electric type moves, it makes up for it thanks to Sandsear Storm. If you have it, use it.

Normaly Shadow Excadrill shows up a bit higher on the list due to its part Steel typing offering some sort of resistance, but that's not the case here. Still, it's more than powerful enough to be a great addition to your team.

Ah Shadow Rhyperior, the good ol' reliable. Good DPS and fantastic TDO. What more can you ask for?

And so we have every flavour of Groudon represented.

While packing a heavy punch and resisting Electric type moves, you still might want to consider dodging to get some good value out of your angry mammoth.

Dodging isn't an option here if you want some return on your investment.

If you're lacking Supreme Counters, these Pokemon can make for some good fillers.
