Primal Kyogre Raid Guide

Mega Sceptile is generally the best thing on this list for Primal Kyogre. It has outstanding, duo-worthy DPS and a Grass/Dragon typing that gives it double-resistances to Hydro Pump, Surf, and Thunder. However, facing down Blizzard or especially Avalanche will make very quick work of Mega Sceptile.

Worth noting: Bullet Seed is a good Fast Move for this raid too, but Fury Cutter generally pulls ahead as its higher energy gains will allow Mega Sceptile to generally pump out more Frenzy Plants.

If you want to fry a whale, then Regieleki is here to put it in a cage. It's pretty frail, which is why Lock-On is the preferred option for getting to Thunder Cage as quickly and frequently as possible.

Shadow Raikou is a bit of an older Pokemon, but it's still VERY effective. It's frail, but it puts in the work.

The effectiveness of Shadow Regigigas depends heavily on your Hidden Power type:

• Have Grass or Electric? Shadow Regigigas is a supreme counter that works wonders here.
• Have a neutral type like Rock or Fighting? Shadow Regigigas is a good counter.
• Have a resisted type like Water or Ice? Shadow Regigigas is a bench warmer.

Kartana is capable of giving a very, very deep paper cut.

The prime Mega Evolution if your raid group is leaning heavily into Electric Types, Mega Manectric poses a big threat, but is a bit frail.

Mega Rayquaza doesn't hit for Super Effective damage, but it definitely has the raw power to be effective here.... unless Primal Kyogre is wielding an Ice Type move.

Shadow Zapdos is a bit behind, but it's still great. Just watch out for Blizzard and Avalanche.

Primal Kyogre is not on this list to be used. Instead, it's here to sit on the bench and provide its boost to Electric types if you lack a better Mega option. You could try to use it with Thunder if you really want to try, but the results aren't going to be great.

Same story as Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon is here to boost Grass Types from the bench.... do not bring this poor thing in to fight Primal Kyogre! That Ground/Fire typing means it won't last more than a few Waterfalls here.
