Lunala Raid Guid

Lunala Raid Guid

Lunala is known as the Beast that Calls the Moon, Lunala is a bit unique... as its two weaknesses are Dark and Ghost, the two types that are most closely associated with the night.

Incongruity aside, Lunala is one of the Tier 5 Legendary Pokemon that can reliably be soloed with the right counters. This is due to the fact that its two weaknesses, the aforementioned Dark and Ghost, are both extremely pervasive types in terms of raw DPS, and they're both double weaknesses. While a solo may not be super easy to pull off, the right team with maybe a few boosts can definitely manage it.

So why should you aim for Lunala? Well, two reasons: first is the fact that it's genuinely great in the Master League. The second is the fact that it's one of the two components needed to make Dawn Wings Necrozma, which is an absolute monster. So yeah; be sure that you have a few Lunala with any IVs sitting in your box, and try for one or two with good IVs.

The Supreme counters on this list are all solo-worthy in terms of DPS, but some just barely pass the mark. If you're trying to solo, then try to aim for as many of the top options as possible and/or activate Behemoth Blade.

Despite its double weakness to Ghost, Dawn Wings Necrozma is an outstanding counter to Lunala. Its average TDO is actually fairly high due to its resistance to Psycho Cut and Future Sight, though it does fear Shadow Claw and Dark Pulse. It also has tremendous DPS that is very much solo-worthy.

Mega Gengar is one of the two top options for the top Mega Evolution, it's hard to say exactly which is best in practice. Mega Gengar in particular is the DPS option of the two, boasting damage output that's great for helping beat the clock. While it's not exceptional in terms of TDO, it's worth mentioning that most of the counters in this raid don't have a huge margin for error, so having a ghost that hits hard but doesn't stick around may make it a bit easier to hit the 50 DPS average needed to score a victory/

The other option for the top Mega Evolution, Mega Absol sacrifices a bit of DPS to score higher TDO, allowing it to throw out constant streams of damage while staying on the field for a longer period of time. However, as stated with Mega Gengar, there MAY be times when you're better off aiming for DPS to get ahead of the clock, depending on your team.

Another strong option, Shadow Darkrai sports solo-worthy DPS alongside very high average TDO. This makes it a great universal pick that can put in great work.

Shadow Hydreigon is basically a side-grade to Shadow Darkrai. They have very similar DPS and TDO, with the only huge difference being that Hydreigon really, really doesn't care for Moonblast.

While a bit frail on average for a Dark Type going into a Psychic/Ghost Type when not facing down Psychic Type moves, Shadow Absol still manages to score solo-worthy DPS.

Another frail option that can hit solo-dps.

This is where we start getting really close to dropping out of solo-worthy DPS. Shadow Gengar just barely passes the DPS check, but can also be risky due to just how frail it is.

Without some boosts, the Pokemon on this side of the list can't quite manage a solo in terms of DPS. The one exception is Mega Banette, but we can't justify putting it on the Supreme list regardless, especially since it's so incredibly close to falling out of solo-worthy ranks.

That said, everything on this list is very duo-worthy.
