Dynamax Kabutops is pretty decent. It can deal solid damage, and has access to a number of Max Moves, though it lacks a Rock Type Fast Move, and its Water Fast Move is a bit slow. Still, it can sit behind a tank and come out when it has the energy for a Max Geyser.
Sadly, Dynamax Kabutops lives in the shadow of its fellow Generation 1 Water/Rock Type; Dynamax Omastar.

- Waterfall is the way to go most of the time, as Max Geyser is Dynamax Kabutops' main Max Move of choice.
- Fury Cutter* or Mud Shot are the best moves for defense, or if you want Max Flutterby or Max Quake, respectively.
- Rock Smash can be used for Max Knuckle, but there are better options.
