Best Movesets
Dynamax Hatterene is a genuinely powerful Pokemon in Max Battles. While it's arguably best known for its Fairy typing, its Psychic capabilities are genuinely great as well. This thing can unload some very strong moves. In Max Battles, this thing is basically a clone of Gardevoir with less bulk (which doesn't matter 99% of the time) and fewer Max Move types, but it still does everything important that it needs to do just fine. Just note that Gigantamax Hatterene is a thing as well....
Dynamax Roles
As stated, Dynamax Hatterene is a side-grade to Dynamax Gardevoir, with the main differences being less secondary coverage and a better option for a Fast Move should your tank drop and Hatterene be left alone on the field... but only if you're going for Max Mindstorm, as Max Starfall is still based on the ever-slow Charm.
A 0.5 second Fast Move and GREAT resistances put in a lot of work, but the ONLY case where it's even okay is when those resistances are in play.
That's a pathetic HP stat.
Aim for Max Move damage, and... that's about it, really. You can go for Max Guard for on-type tanking, but this thing's abysmal Defense means that those shields are going to burn FAST.

- Psycho Cut is the move of choice for Max Mindstorm. Also, if you want to use Hatterene for defensive play (only REALLY viable against Fighting or maybe Dragon Types), then this is the move of choice.
- Charm is the move of choice for Max Starfall.
