Dynamax Gardevoir is actually a pretty solid Dynamax option with really good role compression, especially early-game. With a single investment, you get a good Psychic and Fairy Type Dynamax attacker with the ability to moonlight in Grass and Electric for added value, and its frailty and slow Fast Move options don't really matter as it's going to be spending all of its time hiding behind Blissey or some other tank. The one note-worthy fact here is that Dynamax Gardevoir is not an end-game option, as Gigantamax Hatterene is literally Dynamax Gardevoir but better in terms of Fairy damage, and other Psychic Types already outclass it. Regardless, Dynamax Gardevoir is a very good all-arounder with solid power and role compression.

Attacker4/5

Dynamax Gardevoir has solid power and a lot of useful coverage that it can leverage. There are better options out there for everything that it does, but having access to so many different types with the use of a Fast TM and great performance with Fairy and Psychic Type damage in particular makes this a great investment, especially early-game.

Defender1/5

Dynamax Gardevoir is frail, but those double-resistances to Fighting and Dragon mean that it CAN tank a bit, but its Fast Moves are too slow to be really viable. You COULD switch in another tank or an attacker with a 0.5 second Fast Move to build energy, then switch Gardevoir in/out to tank the incoming hit, but it's probably best to just utilize a dedicated tank instead.

Healer1/5

That HP stat is abysmal for Max Spirit.

Focus heavily on Dynamax Gardevoir's max Move damage output, then consider a bit in Max Guard for solos... maybe. Just don't actually use Max Guard in serious Max Battles unless you're prepared, as Gardevoir doesn't like tanking hits from anything that isn't Dragon or Fighting.

  • Charm for Max Starfall, Confusion for Max Mindstorm.
  • Magical Leaf can be useful for Max Overgrow, but a lack of STAB makes it a bit weaker than other options.
  • Charge Beam is Dynamax Gardevoir's fastest Fast Move, meaning it can be used for Max Lightning and is the best Fast Move option for defensive play.
