A very basic, yet effective rain team that works very well in both Single and Double Battles. Includes an Electric Terrain setter to not only boost Water-type moves but also Electric-type moves like Thunder and Archaludon's Electro Shot.

Thanks to Mega Swampert's Swift Swim, it can outspeed almost any Pokemon and do very good damage with it's moves. Because you can use only one Mega, you have to choose between Mega Swampert and Mega Raichu X each battle.

OTHER OPTIONS: You can swap out Superpower for Protect and High Horsepower for Earthquake, though High Horsepower is recommended over Earthquake in Double Battles format because it does not damage your ally.

Before Mega Evolving, Raichu can absorb Electric-type moves thanks to it's Lighting Rod abillity, thus protecting it's whole team. After Mega Evolving, Raichu becomes very fast and powerful, further boosted by Electric Surge abillity that summons Electric Terrain, increasing damage from Electric-type moves. Electric Terrain also helps Archaludon and Dragonite by boosting their Electro Shot and Thunder, respectively. Because you can only one Mega, you have to choose between Mega Raichu X and Mega Swampert each battle.

OTHER OPTIONS: You can swap out Play Rough or Fake Out for Volt Switch.

When the rain and Electric Terrain meet, Archaludon benefits from both the weather and the terrain. This Archaludon is based around it's signature move, Electro Shot. Normally Electro Shot takes 2 turns, on the 1st turn it boosts it's Special Attack, on the 2nd it releases a beam of electricity, but in rain, it does both actions in 1 turn, turning Electro Shot into a very powerful move on it's own but also increasing Special Attack each time it is used. Electric Terrain boosts Electro Shot even further, making it capable of KO most of the Pokemon. Choice Scarf makes Archaludon fast enough to outspeed a lot of Pokemon and then KO them with Electro Shot, though limiting your actions to only using Electro Shot.

Palafin starts very weak, but after using Flip Turn and switching out, it transforms into it's Hero form, ready to deal big damage using rain- and Mystic Water-boosted Wave Crash. Palafin's signature move, Jet Punch, is not only boosted by rain and Palafin's held item, but also is a priority move, meaning Palafin usually attacks first with it, helping other team members deal with the opposing Pokemon.
