Mode 1: Swampert Politoed Sinistcha Archaludon Used for most matchups, rain allows Swampert to knock out your opponent's big pieces. Archaludon tends to clean up late-game. Sinistcha keeps your health high throughout whole match, this is useful because of the large investment in HP across the board.
Mode 2: Cofagrigus Politoed Ampharos Archaludon Used for problematic matchups such as Charizard Y and Staraptor mega. I chose Cofagrigus over something like Farigiraf because mummy is good against contrary. Ampharos threatens both Charizard Y and Staraptor mega. This mode is weak to ground type attackers, the best counterplay you have is to take advantage of stamina and cotton guard. If the ground type attacker is special then consider the first mode, or pray.
Notes: 1) In some matchups such as Mawhile trick room w/ Pyroar I use mode 1 but sub out Sinistcha for Cofagrigus. Will-O-Wisp is very good tech and doing this should be considered against certain matchups. 2) Be wary of surprise sunny day users next to solar beam users if you're using Swampert.
Ice punch can ohko things like Garchomp and Sceptile mega. Sinistcha rage powder is recommended for the latter, however I find that many people predict Swampert mega to protect and don't target it with a grass move. (Max speed timid Sceptile mega outspeeds this 11 speed Swampert mega, if you want you could run 19 speed to outspeed Sceptile mega)
Helping hand for surprise KOs, icy wind speed control does not come up often, but is very good when it does.
Very good against Staraptor mega, I find will-o-wisp tips many matchups into my favor
Strength sap can be subbed out for protect or trick room if you want another trick room setter
Archaludon spread is flexible
Cotton guard is super helpful tech
